The Centre for Strategic Analysis has been taken over the missions of the Council for Employment, Income and Social Cohesion since 2010.

History

The replacement of the Center of Studies on Income and Costs (former Cerc) by the Superior Council for Employment, Income and Costs (Cserc), in application to the article 78 of the December 20, 1993 five-year law, upon work, employment and professional training, provoked several critics and demands to reexamine this case. To take these critics into account, a report to the Prime Minister in January 1998, by Mrs Join-Lambert, General Inspector for Social Affairs, suggested the creation of a new organization to succeed to the Cserc. Following this point of view, the law n°2000-175 on March 2, 2000, initiated by the Parliament, has repealed the article 78 of the December 20, 1993 law.

The Council for Employment, Income and Social Cohesion has been created by a Council of State decree, on April 7, 2000. The Cerc ceased its activities in the second half of 2009.
